Back to School Giveaway Success in Birmingham

Distribution of back to school supplies and nutritional food boxes

“You are truly an angel among us”, this was one of the many statements of appreciation received at the 3rd “Back to School” giveaway event. The Power of Life Foundation, in collaboration with community members, hosted the event in Birmingham, Atlanta, on Sunday 1st August 2021.

As before, the main focus of the event was to provide necessary back-to-school supplies, including backpacks, face masks, hand sanitizer, shoes, socks, and stationery to students returning to school. Additionally, the foundation aimed to support 350 families by distributing nutritional food boxes.

Thanks to the support of Amazon, People Optimum Consulting, Urban Air Trussville, and Walmart, over 1,000 students and families received supplies through this event. Our appreciation goes out to our local sponsors, including Alabama Power, Protective Life, the Corey Watson Law Firm, Walmart, N.O.B.L.E, I3 Academy, Bud's Best Cookies, Pepsi Buffalo Rock, NoraGardner.com, Reebok, Bombas, Soles4Souls, Sustainable Tallahassee, Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, and many others who made this event possible.
